ENGLISH CONVENIENCE COPY – Privacy Notice, DealProof waitlist website

Translation for information only.

As of 4 November 2026 · Information under Art. 13 GDPR. Applies only to this website (waitlist and contact form).

1. Controller: Raul-Nicolae Manolescu, trading as Veyact Labs (sole proprietor), Schopfwiesenstr. 5, 75236 Kämpfelbach, Germany; contact@veyact.com; contact form: /en/contact/.

2. Data protection officer: No data protection officer has been appointed. Please send data protection requests to contact@veyact.com.

3. Website access, hosting and logs: The site and its server functions run on Cloudflare Pages (Pages Functions) of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, as processor (Cloudflare DPA v6.4). Cloudflare processes the connection data needed to deliver the site; per Cloudflare's DPA (Annex 1) this includes IP addresses in "Customer Logs" (logs of users' interactions made available to us in the Cloudflare dashboard). Per Cloudflare's Pages Functions documentation, function logs show requests (e.g. URL, method, response status), errors and custom log output in real time; Cloudflare states these logs are not stored and are only streamed while we actively view them. Our code writes no form content to these logs, only technical status messages (e.g. an email-sending error code). Purpose and basis: delivery, secure operation and debugging; Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest: secure, working operation).

4. No cookies, no tracking: This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services. No third-party content (e.g. fonts, scripts) is loaded.

5. Waitlist. Data: email (required), name and company (optional). Purpose: waitlist and pilot contact. Legal basis: consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, via double opt-in; the DOI confirmation log is kept as proof of consent (Art. 7(1)). DOI proof: sign-up and confirmation timestamps, IP address at both steps, consent text and version, language. Withdrawal/unsubscribe at any time with effect for the future via the personal unsubscribe link in every email (open the link and confirm with the "Unsubscribe" button), which immediately deletes the personal data (email, name, company, IP addresses), leaving only the proof record below, or by email to contact@veyact.com; lawfulness of processing before withdrawal is unaffected (Art. 7(3)). Retention: a daily automatic job deletes unconfirmed sign-ups 30 days after sign-up; confirmed entries are kept until withdrawal and, after 12 months without contact, reduced to the proof record (reason "expired"). Proof record after withdrawal or expiry, kept for 3 years: a salted hash of the email, the consent text version, and the sign-up, confirmation and withdrawal/expiry timestamps. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is being able to prove that consent was given (Art. 7(1)) and to defend against claims; the 3 years follow the regular limitation period under § 195 BGB. You may object to this processing on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).

6. Contact form and email. Contact form (/kontakt/, /en/contact/): email (required), name (optional), message, timestamp, IP address (abuse protection/rate limiting); purpose: handling the request and notifying contact@veyact.com; basis Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual requests), otherwise (f) (legitimate interest: answering requests); deleted automatically from the database 6 months after receipt. Contact by email: name, email, content; Art. 6(1)(b) or (f); kept until resolved, subject to statutory retention duties.

7. Recipients (processors): Cloudflare, Inc. (address above): hosting (Pages Functions) and Cloudflare D1 database, restricted to the EU jurisdiction ("jurisdiction eu": the database runs and stores data only in the EU). Brevo GmbH, Köpenicker Str. 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany (Berlin-Charlottenburg local court, HRB 133191): sends the waitlist confirmation email (receives email and, if given, name) and the contact-form notification to us (receives email, name if given, and message); data stored in the EU per Brevo (OVH France/Germany, Google Cloud Belgium). Google Cloud EMEA Limited, 70 Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland (Google Workspace contracting entity for billing addresses in EMEA except France, Italy and Poland, per Google's "Google Contracting Entity" page): email service for the contact@veyact.com mailbox (receiving incoming email, including contact-form notifications, and sending our replies; processes sender, recipients, content and metadata), as processor under Google's Cloud Data Processing Addendum. Under s. 10.1 of that Addendum, data may be processed in any country where Google or its subprocessors maintain facilities; subprocessors: https://workspace.google.com/intl/en/terms/subprocessors.html.

8. Third-country transfers: Cloudflare, Inc. is based in the USA and is an active participant in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision, Art. 45 GDPR, Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/1795); under Cloudflare's DPA (s. 6.4) transfers are made on that basis, and if the certification lapses, the SCCs (EU) 2021/914 (Module 2) apply under s. 6.2. Google states that since 1 September 2023 it has adopted the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework as an "Alternative Transfer Solution" (Cloud DPA, Appendix 3, s. 4.1) for transfers of EU/EEA personal data to and onwards from the U.S.; Google LLC is an active DPF participant. Without such a solution, SCCs apply under Appendix 3, s. 4.1(b). No other third-country transfers take place.

9. Your rights: access (Art. 15), rectification (16), erasure (17), restriction (18), portability (20), objection (21), withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (7(3)) GDPR, via contact@veyact.com. Right to lodge a complaint (Art. 77) with a supervisory authority, e.g. the authority competent for us: Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg, Heilbronner Straße 35, 70191 Stuttgart, Germany (postal: Postfach 10 29 32, 70025 Stuttgart), phone +49 711 615541-0, poststelle@lfdi.bwl.de, https://www.baden-wuerttemberg.datenschutz.de.

10. Requirement to provide data; automated decisions: An email address is required for the waitlist and the contact form; without it we cannot add you or reply. No automated decision-making or profiling under Art. 22 GDPR takes place.
